Questers Sanct. Of Light Ch. 8

Here it is, the eighth installment of the Quester series.
This one is longer than the previous ones, so get some popcorn, and start reading.

Poe sat up with a jerk. His vision was fuzzy as he tried to see where he was. He tried to reach for his sword, but it wasn’t there. Startled, he turned over to fumble for his sword, but ended up falling off the bed. As Poe regained his sight, he saw that he was in a little cottage. There were four beds set up next to his, and he wondered where he was. He went back to his bed, still not fully recovered from his fight.

It was already morning when Poe stumbled out of the cottage. He had looked all over the place for his sword but could not seem to find it. As he walked out, he saw Miki, Brandon, and Jona already awake and was sitting around this old looking man. The old looking man looked up into Poe’s eyes.

“So, you are the Dreamer,” says the old looking man, his voice uncertain.

“Yes,” replied Poe, sensing some unease from the old man’s tone.

“Didn’t think it would be a kid,” the old looking man mumbled.

“What was that?” asked Poe since he didn’t hear.

“Ohhhh it’s nothing,” said the old looking man mysteriously.

Poe joined the circle and waited for the old man to speak. The old looking man looked at them all for a second, and then began to speak.

“First of all, my name is Kite, and I am a Blaze Wizard,” said the old looking man.

“That’s a weird name for an old man like you,” laughed Jona.

“Second, I am not an old man, I am 19 years old,” said Kite.

Jona’s jaw dropped and it hung there until Poe pushed it back up.

“OMGNOWAIII,” says Jona.

“Yes way, and will you stop interrupting me,” says Kite.

“Yes,” says all four Questers.

Kite shifted in his seat and then continued.

“Anyways, let us recollect what happened four days ago,” says Kite.

“What??????” said Poe, “that was four days ago?????”

“Yes, the battle you fought took a lot on all of you. It was thanks to your friend and a man named Draco that brought you guys here,” replies the old man.
Poe looked at Brandon in amazement. He would not have thought Brandon would have done this for them. Poe looked at Brandon with more respect.
Kite paused for a second before continuing.

“Anyways, lets get to the main topic; your training,” says Kite.

“What training?” asks Miki.

“I am under Glant’s orders to train you how to use a weapon and your powers,” replies Kite with a smile.

“Wait, we don’t need training,” says Brandon, “we can fight fine.”

“Well, if what you mean fine as getting your butt kicked and Poe having to chuck meteors at then, which almost killed him, you will not survive the next encounter.”

“o.0”

“If you say you are good, then follow me,” directed Kite.

Kite led the four Questers through the forest and soon they saw a stump of a tree in the middle of a circle.

“Step on it,” instructed Kite.

The four Questers and Kite stepped on to the stump, and Kite put his hands together and they teleported away.

A second later, they appeared inside this weird looking dimension.
Kite took a few steps forward and turned around.

“This is your test,” Kite said, “You will have to defeat these bots in combat. If you can, then I will not train you, but if you can’t, then you will have to receive my training with no complaint.”

“Okay,” said all four Questers in unison.

Then, some minions materialized in the dimension and started towards them.

“Don’t worry, these are just holograms,” said Kite.

The holographic minions headed towards the Questers. Then the fight began.
Poe reached for his sword, but forgot it wasn’t there, and he was slammed into the ground by one of the holograms.

“DAM IT,” he thought, “what should I do????”
Then, he remembered how he dreamed meteors. Maybe he can dream a weapon.
Poe started to think, but was then knocked aside by the minion.

“Ugh, I don’t have time to dream,” thought Poe.

Poe wasn’t the only one doing bad; Brandon was having a lot of trouble keeping up with the minion. It was simply just too fast.

Miki wasn’t having the best time either; the minion was blocking everything she was throwing at it.

Jona on the other hand was having the worse experience. He was getting knocked back and forth between minions and also getting sandwiched by huge Stonetooth swords.

The battle dragged on, and a few minutes pasted before Poe, Jona, Brandon, and Miki gave up and collapsed on the ground shaking.

“See?” said Kite, “you guys need training.”

All of them nodded in agreement, much too tired to complain. Kite reached out a hand and healed them all. The four Questers stood up and followed Kite to another part of the dimension.

“Ok, in this dimension, time will pass a lot slower than the outside world,” explained Kite. “You guys will be able to train for a long time and return without really having time in the real world changed.”
“This place is called, the Time Sphere.”

“COOOLLLLLLLLLLL,” Poe said.

“Here, I will teach you guys how to use your powers and use weapons to defend yourselves.”

So their training started, and they learned quickly. A few years passed in time sphere, but it seemed like no time at all. Poe, Jona, Miki, and Brandon can now destroy all the holograms thrown at them.

Holographic minions materialized. Poe, with a new Reverse Alchupiz leaping into the on coming storm of minions. His spear flashed as minions were shattered into pieces left and right.

On Poe’s right was Brandon, wielding his Dragon Tail. His dagger faster than the speed of light hitting and slicing everything in its path.

“WHOOOOOOOO,” yelled Brandon, “this is FUNNNNNN.”

Above Brandon, Miki was in an aerial battle against some more minions. Her new Aeas Hand, shooting multiple elements of magic at her opponents.

And Jona, who was still having trouble fighting one minion…

NOT

Jona cloned himself a few times and leaped into a group of minions taking down four at once. Jona’s Reverse Executioners drilled though many minions.

Kite watched all this in silence, proud of them for coming this far.
He remembered them when they couldn’t even defeat one Hologram. Kite smiled and reached for his cell phone.

“It is time to call in the final test,” Kite thought as he dialed a number.
