Yah im not trying to b those downers like, well im being very careful now so im not gonna name anyone. Anyway i think this topic is or isnt cuz we neva talk about religion. Cuz religion starts a lot of wars and battles and could cause a huge one here and so far since we neva talked about religion we dont know if mapleanimers here really care about it (F6) . Well so this tread is kinda like a HUGE risk.

So, humans really don't understand even themselves. This goes to show how foolish we are.

This counter-theory was answered more than 10 years ago. There were two main types of 'monkeys', the humanoid prehistoric ones, or the human ancestors, that didn't always live in trees, in fact moving out of them tens of thousands of years ago, and the primapes, the modern apes ancestor, who lived in trees. not to mention, evolution takes thousands to millions of years and we've been recording this sort of thing for what, 300 years MAXIMUM?

we are not 'foolish' and are on a quest to reveal our origins which is slowly moving on, but delayed by such thoughts. And is it truly more believable that some mystic being decided for us to exist, than the theory of evolution? Then prove it wrong. Bring me proof of god that science can not answer.

Very plausible. When people say well -insert name of diety here- created us, I always find myself asking "Well what created it?"

The simple reason that religion exists is that Humankind feels comfortable when they are not alone.
We feel as though we need someone to take care of us, help us when we stumble.
So it started as religion only being practiced by nobles and the people at the top of the system,
and slowly spread like a virus throughout many societies.

To add to that, if it weren't for religion, the dark ages would not have happened. For those of you who don't know, the dark ages was a time in which all learning was shunned in Europe and only religion was important. This in turn led to the crusades. If these events hadn't happened then we would've been exploring space by the 1600's. Imagine where we would be now.

As foolish as it may seem to you, chobbi actually has a point. He's not saying worship yourself but have some self respect and have faith in yourself that you do the right thing day to day.

lol at above, and I forgot to mention some things:

For thousands of years when a society is heavily based on religion, the ruler has jumped up with the religion and either made themself seem a god, or changed the core beliefs of it sneakily, like in rome where a cezar gathered all the christian bibles, etcetera, and edited them.
