Monster Book Information

Post by Pepsi » Fri Apr 10, 2009 4:30 pm

Hey Maplers,

You just saw the post regarding the Monster Book, but if you need more details, you're at the right place! Just in case you need a bit more information on the Monster Book, we'll explain it here in detail. We hope this helps!

What is a Monster Book?
The Monster Book is a UI in which you can collect the unique monster cards that are dropped by each type of monster, compiling them into a book like format. As you collect the monster cards and compile them in your personal book, you can begin to look up and browse through the information and images of the specific monsters.

Collecting
- The monster cards are non-tradable and will be automatically added to your book once you pick up the card.

- If you have collected 5 monster cards of a particular monster, monster cards will no longer drop from that monster.

- The monster cards are color-coded depending on its rank with each card. You can see the ranks here, in this chart:

Rank

Card Color

Rank

Rank8:Lv.0~Lv.15

Rank4:Lv.61~ Lv.75

Turquoise

Rank7:Lv.16~Lv.30

Rank6:Lv.31~Lv.45

Effect
- Each time a card is registered (collected) in the monster book, you can earn 30 minutes of a Monster's Special Buff. Like this:

- When you have collected the max 5 cards for a particular monster, you will be given a special designated monster hunting priority for that particular monster for 1 hour from the moment the 5 cards are collected.

- The designated monster hunting effect expires after 1 hour. Even if 1 hour does not pass but you collect the max 5 cards for another monster, then the designated monster hunting effect will be reset to the new monster with the old one no longer in effect.

- If you log out of the game, the buff effect will be lost.

Card Registration
-You can register up to a maximum of 5 cards for a single type of monster. With each card collected, you can discover more information about the monster.

- Monster cards are organized from the beginning of the book in the order it was collected. Thus, the order of the collection can be different from you and other players.

- You can check your current collection status such as number of collected cards, or the book master level through the main page. Shown here:

- Special cards entail monster cards with rank of master-monster or higher, and event monster cards.
- The book master level is determined by the types of card collected. The more diverse range of cards you have, the level will increase.

Personal Window
- You can see other players book info by double clicking on the user.
