You need screenrecording software and bannedstory installed. If you're a starter I'd recommend windows movie maker, it comes with Windows.

You can still use the unregistered version, but it will export the video with a small rectangle in the corner displaying "Unregistered Hypercam".

I use Hypercam screen recorder myself to record desktop stuff. For game recordings use fraps. If you use a more advanced video editor like Sony vegas, you can easily cut away the watermarks added by Hypercam and Fraps.
