Hey all,
Feeling a little generous.
I'd like to help some people out.
Post any questions you have with Actionscript or with using flash in general.
I'll try my best to answer them as clear as possible, if I can answer them at all! :P

Maybe the thread title wasn't clear enough,
I'm offering help to people who are using Flash (The developer program, not the player) that need a little guidance or don't understand why an event of some sort is occurring within a section of code, or just need some quick definitions and a little checkup on their scripts.
This is not a thread for Maplestory flash games that have already been released, nor is it for discussing avatars.
Warnings will be strictly given to any further off topic posts.

A forum like this one or a forum produced in flash? If the answer is
A, ask Gillian how he set it up, if it's
B, you need access to your own server which supports PHP & mySQL. Furthermore you need to create a page that retrieves the forum data from the database & outputs it in a form that flash player can load and a page or script to connect and save/update the database. It's easily do-able but for a novice it may be particularly challenging.

On Topic: Well one thing I want to know is how you got some much customization to actually work. I can only get 2-3 items to work

Php is just like actionscript, apart from variables have the cash sign($) before the variable name
