The Ranger of Chaos-Harbinger of Doom pt.2 ch.4

"Damn dude where's all the food at?" All that seemed to be on Brandon's mind was getting something to eat. Not much help when you're surrounded by bandits eh? Well I guess I should explain.

You see when we got to Leafre, Drake was waiting at the station with his group. We compared adventures only to find that we had both got nothing. Hopefully there would be someone here who could help us. We ventured into the wilderness hoping to find something useful. We searched all day to find nothing. We found a small cave in a hollowed out cliff side. We decided to bed down there for the night. We ventured into the cave and found that it was surprisingly large on the inside. What we didn't know almost spelled death for us. I don't know for sure who, but someone stumbled over a large mace laying on the floor. A shadow rose from the back of the cave and grabbed the mace. The shadow swung the mace towards my head yet ended up hitting the side of the cave. The power of the swing crushed the side of the cave completely.

"Wait wait.....hold on....I think they're not trying to harm us Caelin." Another shadow rose from the back wall. I put a hand to my bow just to be ready for another attack.

"Yeah, well then why were they searching around our cave? Probably more bandits......I'll pay you when I'm dead!" The man called Caelin seemed hostile but his friend seemed harmless. The man in the back came forward and his hands began to glow with a holy light. He reached out to Drake and I then placed his hands on our heads.

"Since you two seem to be the leaders I'll just see why you're really here." He went into a trance of some sort then let go quickly. "Hmm.....I see now. It is alright Caelin they are but adventurers seeking information. I am Jonah, and this is my friend Caelin. You seem to have stumbled upon our home in your humble quest." Even though it seemed that Jonah had read our minds we still told him the whole story. "Hmm....yes I've heard the legend of which you speak. I haven't come across anyone possessing these powers yet though.....strange....strange indeed." He offered us a bed for the night in his cave. We stayed the night and decided to head out in the morning. We woke to the crash of metal on metal.

"Well you idiots picked a perfect time to wake up! Now help us out why don't you!" We walked out of the cave to see Caelin fending off what seemed to be an army of bandits. The entire cave was completely surrounded. Caelin returned to my side and I asked him what was going on. "We're up to our asses in bandits thats what! I owe these guys for a thing or two and I never got around to paying em." The man that looked like the leader stepped forward. Half of his face was all metallic. He wore dark bandit clothing and stood about 6 feet tall. He glared at Drake as if he knew him.

"Ahhh....so we meet again Drake. You think I would forget what you did to me? Not a chance. You did this to me! You made me this....this monster!" He pointed to the metallic parts of his face as he spoke. Drake just looked puzzled. Almost as if he had no clue what was going on.

"Uhh....do I know you?" It turns out that the man was Zach. Yeah....the Zach that Drake smashed his head into the wall. He wanted revenge and he wasn't leaving until he got it. Zach talked for a while and I got bored. So I turned demon and jumped into the middle of the group. I started breaking head after head. Bandits started swinging at me with their blades and whatever other weapons they had on them. I dodged them all with ease. I grabbed two bandits in particular by the blades of their swords. I pulled them into each other so they stabbed each other. I kicked another and broke his neck then went for the next closest one to me.

"Son of a b***h..." Drake sighed, turned angel mode and jumped in next to me. We stood back to back for a few moments then charged. We flew with the force and the speed of twin wrecking balls. Not wanting to be showed up Azure and Caelin joined the fray. We cut into all of the bandit forces but there were still too many. Jonah stood for a second mumbling something then he raised his hands to the sky. He screamed something along the lines of "face divine judgement". Shortly after that beams of light rained on the bandit forces. It still didn't work. He had a whole damn army of bandits. Drake threw a bandit in my direction so I summoned up a dark energy club. I hit the bandit so hard his entire skeletal system shattered. If only I could do that to all of them. I was suddenly overcame with a weird feeling. It was spreading throughout my entire body. It was like a....a feeling of absolute power. I felt like I just needed to let something out and just like.....scream. So I did. The earth rumbled with dark power. The ground broke open and armies of the damned spilled out onto the battlefield. They ran rampant killing any bandits in their way.

Soon enough only Zach was left. Jonah had bound his arms and legs with holy magic. Caelin stood in front of him, mace at the ready.

"Dammit you'll never kill me! I'll get that payment from you! All 1,000,000 mesos of it! Even if you do kill me, my bandits won't stop!" Zach struggled against his bonds but to no avail

"Pry it from my cold dead hands you worthless waste of human life." Caelin raised his mace and brought it down on Zach's head with such force that it split his head open. Blood splattered everywhere. Caelin realized that he had blood all over his hands. "Damn, I gotta do something about this." Caelin then picked up the leftover brain matter from Zach's head and washed his hands in it. We looked over at Jonah and he seemed antsy.

"You guys.....there's a problem. You see I had suspected this when I read your minds, but I fear I was right. You see.....you and Drake are the ones in the prophecy."
