The Ranger of Chaos-Harbinger of Doom Part 2 Ch3

2 Days After Chapter Two

We sat in an oriental village in Mu Lung planning our next moves. We hadn't found any clues so we figured we would just skip Ariant. We had researched a little bit about it and didn't see any places that could hold information. We had planned to catch the next ship to Leafre to meet Synn and his gang. In the meantime I asked Azure if he wanted to spar a little bit before we had to leave. He agreed and we left to find a more open space. We agreed on not using weapons and just strict hand to hand combat. He came at me and punched hard at my stomach. I blocked and kicked him back. We traded blows for a bit until I connected hard with his face. I had abnormal strength being part cyborg and all but I hit him much harder than I thought. He went spiralling into a building and crashed straight through it. He got up from the rubble and what I saw I would never forget. The skin on his face where I hit him had turned to diamonds.

"Damn, I was trying to keep this a secret, but you leave me no choice." He got into a weird stance and diamonds started to encase his body sort of like an armor. He came at me faster than ever and faked a punch to my face. I dodged low thinking that he meant the punch, but he kicked me hard in the face. I flew a few feet before recovering and chaged at him again. Our blows collided and shattered the nearby buildings with the sonic boom. Zeno and Alice came running to see what was happening. Zeno saw what was going on and ran to stop us. Azure and I were about to clash again when Zeno stopped us in our tracks.

"Seriously guys....enough is enough. You've destroyed this town enough, theres no need to make things worse." Azure and I paused to look around and see the destroyed village. Buildings were crumbled and people were in the streets, homeless because of what we had done. Azure and I looked at each other and knew what we had to do. We gave the rest of our money to the village to help it rebuild then we were on our way.

"I hope you guys are happy.....now we have no money to buy food." Zeno just looked at us in disgust. I don't know what he wanted us to do. We had no other options. We'll live on the natural foods in Leafre anyway. I went below deck to try and get some sleep before we landed in Leafre. It was almost time to meet with Synn and hopefully solve this mystery.

"Dude we are sooooo f****d."

Have I told you how I hate.....awww nevermind. A stone fist crashed next to me, crushing the ground with its might. I only had precious seconds to react. I dove to the side, filling Zakum with light arrows in the process.I had his attention, I was going to take advantage of it. I drew his attacks while Nick got into a ready position. He was goin for a one hit kill. I didn't understand why. Nick knew better than to just try and slice rock like that. He wasn't ready for it. Then I remembered something crucial. What keeps a beast like Zakum alive? Some sort of magical core.....but the chances of hitting that with one strike are one in a million. Unless I could draw it out somehow. I notched three bomb arrows to my bow and got ready. Nick was only gonna get one shot at this. I leaped from behind cover and put all three arrows straight into Zakum. It seemed stunned for a second and Nick saw his chance. The bombs went off and Nick dashed right for Zakum. The core was open but he was quickly regenerating. Nick dashed through and cut the core in two. He landed (less than gracefully) on the other side while Zakum crumbled behind him.

"Oh my god Nick that was amazing! How did you do it? Come on tell me!" Ally asked question after question as we searched the lair of Zakum. We didn't really find anything so we traveled back to the station. It was time to meet with Drake and his crew in Leafre.

Meanwhile.....

"Sir, a few of our agents have tracked them to Mu Lung. Others say that the other half are in El Nath. They seem to both be coming here to Leafre. What is our plan of attack?" A shadow stepped out of the background. The man looked to be about 6 feet tall. He was wearing all dark clothes. His face looked metallic, as if he were a cyborg.

"Good....be at rest chobbi. We will wait for them to come to us. Until then get the forces ready and fed." The messenger ran off down the hall. the man retired to his throne

"Soon....we will meet again....and I can have my revenge."
