MapleStory Shootout is my first attempt at a flash game using AS2 (the last time I was using AS1 years ago) and there is still flaws here and there. If it is very well received I may consider developing a much better Shootout 2.
This game provides a different perspective to the player when playing MapleStory. Instead of the usual side-scrolling platform based monster-bashing, now players get to use the scope and take out other maplers one by one from a first person view.
Although there is not much of a storyline, there is a locked stage for player to gain the necessary items and kills in order to be unlocked.
All in all, the game is very simplistic but challenging as the scoped view of a platform layout reduces visibility (especially with the special scope I adopted) and there is only a short amount of time for player to spot for items or targets.
