Only if you plan on using AS3. The help section in Flash 8 is better then CS4.

AS3? It's a bit different, the first few concepts are hard to grasp.
It's not worth learning it if you aren't serious about further game development, AS2 is much easier and friendlier.
You don't need AS3 to make Maple flash games.
