It seems that anymore the only people who post intelligent things are: The Mods, Gilly, and a select few posters.

Sometimes many people do.Many people try to change the way they are,but it doesn't work that fast.
If you think only a few people are the only ones who are posting with common sense LOOK HARDER.

Look harder? i've been looking for a freaking year....and i stand by what i said if you dont like it then fine but please make at the very least an intelligent argument.

Look at Mapleanime in my eyes.

If you think about a childish version on Mapleanime,think again.

before i offer my rebuttal i want to thank you meowzers. you're probably the only person who opposes this that can offer an intelligent debate.

ANYHOW! i know everyone has useless and random posts at times and i've even done it myself. I'd be a complete hypocrite if i said otherwise. Thats all good....but in the right sections. My prime example is the chat section. Most of the topics end up with someone posting something to talk about and a couple people go with it and everything is all well and freaking dandy.

But then there's always that one person who posts something off topic and screws everyone else over. its a chain reaction. one person goes offtopic then five other people see the neeed to post OFF TOPIC!!!!11!1!!11!! then go along with the offtopic post. i see only a few people who can consistently post intelligent things on regular topics. You may see more but thats my point and i stand by it

I am wondering something, and I have a point to make.

one, which side am I considered on?

two, Mapleanime would have much less spam if a few things happened:
A) less warnings before a ban for spam
B) report off-topic posts as spam, don't just sigh and move on.
C) Before you post, look at what you typed. Consider what you have typed.
D) if the post is too short, don't spam to extend it, simply expand your point. I know a post with only a few words can be intelligent and useful, but a post with a few useful/intelligent words and another sentence of spam is not intelligent OR useful, as it sets the ground for spam by other users.

Please consider these.

The problem is there are many new mapleanimers who have no idea how to edit posts, so they end up double or even triple posting.
And how do you know what is "Ontopic" and "offtopic" on FF threads?

in a FF topic, discussing the story in the topic, or submitting your form, or asking questions to author (if they don't have a thread designated for that (in case of questions))
offtopic would be commenting on how you like final fantasy more than arcana.... *looks straight at ch3 of pvt's latest fanfic*

remember it's a FANFICTION forum section, not a CHAT forum section.

Sadly there are never really much reports while I check multiple times each day. I don't have enough time to scoop the forums either =/

People spam for the fun of it.People think its very fun to post crap and what not.
Like before,I posted just to get the posts.
Now,I'm barely posting stuff on this site.
Spam to me is considered fun with consequences.Off topic to me is people who has no idea what the hell they are posting and the post is off the topic in so many ways.
Example:This topic is about watching what you post and what not.
Spam would be like Gatorade's earlier posts.
Off-topic would be like...something off-topic.

Because:
1) New MA-ers don't read the rules
2) They think post count is win
3) So as of thinking of Post count is win this leads to Spam
And i've seen People Generalizing Spam like Darkzone.
Anyways, how do we contain spam?

1)Do you guys report?
2) Do you know what to report?
3)Do you know how to report ?
4) Ideas of containing spam but no ban?

you haven't considered your words before posting yourself,this website is INFESTED with young undermined "people",you can't expect scones and biscuits,even if some of the major posters are to be mature, a mouth plays without a mind.
