But in persona 3 you only go into battles every full moon (Boss) and when you feel like it talk to Mitsuru, Fuuka, later in the game.

Persona 4 you go into battles when you go to the supermall through the big screen tv (i know it sounds weird) and 3 days-straight raining days (boss).

Persona 3 mobs emphasises moon phases while persona 4 emphasises on weather, weird eh?

Battles depend on IPD infected revytails around you usually in Ar Tonelico 2.

Persona 3 u use evokers (they look like handguns) to shoot yr own head in order to summon personas.

Persona 4 you smash/break/etc the card that floats in front of ya to summon it.

Both are juz animations.
