Aqua out 2 ? Maple pong? Hmm...

Hiya. I was programming an crazy pong game... And then i though: "How about using maplestory sprites and rename it as a sequel to aqua out rocks?"... "Or maple pong?"..."Or not?" Uh, so yeah. How'd you like some sort of crazy pong game with maplestory sprites, achievements popping up at random goals and ode to joy songs best part playing, the ball having a fire burst after it, and everything in slow-mo when you're finishing of the oponet?

Oh and i got the main engine done already. Just need to fix the finish of an oponet part, fix new sprites and tweak the code a little + removel lots of crazy stuff used for testing.

Opinions please.

Fail. Kongregate doesn't "Have" them. There's developers that own them, but upload them to kongregate. Thus, there's nothing making stuff cool if you upload them to kongregate. Secondly, there's alot of cool arcade games nowadays, that's populare also. Take for instance top down shooters. Like space shooters. Ever played one of the really flashy, modern ones for pc? Or take popcaps "Extreme peggle". It's arcade style, but new and fresh.

Also, ontopic, i fixed the Ode to joy peggle ripoff part to fit in when winning, + crazy sparkless creating smaller particles as they explode. The game is kind of fun at the moment :)

Oh by the way, I made this pong game using lots of special effects, random terrain and etc... However in the maplestory version i'll just use the plain pong elements, perhaps random terrain, finishing music, flashy effects and some special stuff you'll see later.


I added slow-mo to trigger when you press space to my pong game engine... Question is if i should allow this in the maplestory version?

Sorry, but no. The name "Pong" might not be attractive, but there's tons of way a pong game can turn out. It doesn't have to be the same retro one you're reffering to. So i've desided to rename it "Aqua out 2" for the nextnext beta.
