Chapter 4 : The Escape

"Oh no......" said Dawn. "Jake still down there!"

"Don't need to care about him." snorted Craven. He flinched. "Stupid arm...."

The only other people on the ship was the captain, crew members and a girl, who was about 13 years old. The girl was wearing a T-shirt with a fire symbol on it along with matching jeans. Her hairwas sleek and black. Dawn walked up to the girl.

"Hello." said Dawn. "Are you escaping the Dark Wings too?"

"Yea." answered the girl.

"My name is Dawn, yours?" asked Dawn. "And that guys over there is Craven."

"My name is Jade." replied the girl. "Looks like your friend is hurt.... let me have a look....."

"Stay away, hmph noobs." snorted Craven.

"That wasn't very polite!" said Jade crossly.

BOOM - the whole ship shook.

"What was that?" said Dawn.

"Crimson Balrog." answered Jade. "You and me have no chance against it, and Mr. Snorty Pants here" -Craven looked murderous- "is not in fit shape, so-"

"Then there's me." said a voice from the corner of the cabin.

Jade, Dawn and Craven looked around and saw a 16 year old boy standing in the corner. He was wearing a white tuxedo coat with matching jeans and a sword strapped to his back. He also had 2 handguns fixed on his belt.

"The names Joshua. You need me to kill the rogs?" said the boy as though he killed crimson balrogs everyday.

Dawn and Jade nodded. Next hing they knew, Joshua rushed up the deck to fight the Crimson Balrogs.

After some rapid gun firing sounds, Joshua came down from the deck to the cabin, licking blood from his hands.

Dawn and Jade were awed but Craven said: "That took 15 seconds I can kill them in-"

"Shut up, Maskie." said Joshua.

As Joshua and Craven were locked in a death stare, Dawn talked to Jade.

"At least we're safe.... for now." said Jade.

"I hope we can stay safe forever." said Dawn and he cuddled Star a bit more tightly.

"You're quite good." said Ember as he dodged Jake's flaming punch.

"Nah, no need for the compliments." said Jake as he continued punching, Ember was the only standing person left, all the other Dark Wing troops had been killed.

"Hmph, you're getting annoying." said Ember as he blocked Jake's left hand with his dragon staff.

"So let's end this quickly!" said Jake as he caught Ember off guard and punched him in the chest with his right hand. Ember spat blood and fell to the floor.

"I surrender.... Stop it..... please." begged Ember as Jake was about to finish him off.

"Ok, but you must stop-" said Jake but he was knocked sideways by Pentagon.

"Ha! You thought i was gonna beg to the likes of you?" said Ember as Pentagon landed beside him.

"Ugh....." said Jake.

"LET ME GO!" shouted Poe.

"When we reach orbis, I will let you go." said the arch mage.

Not long after, they reached Orbis.

"We're here so-" said the arch mage.

"Attack!" Someone shouted from the port. The ship was surounded by Dark Wings.

Some of the people on the ship were instantly killed by the arrows shot by Dark Wings.

"Come on! Everyone, go to the Mu Lung ship, now!" shouted the arch mage as everyone ran towards the Mu Lung ship. The arch mage grabbed Poe and started to untie the knots tieing him down.

"Come on!" shouted the arch mage and he ran with Poe towards the Mu Lung ship.

From the corner of his eye, Poe saw a crossbowman firing an arrow at him, it was too late to dodge, he closed his eyes.

"Go now!" shouted the arch mage, he had blocked the arrow for him with his body. "GO!"

"But why did you save me?" asked Poe.

"GO!" the arch mage grabbed Poe, and with amazing strengh he threw Poe onto the ship.

"What about you?" said Poe as the ship started to move.

"Just shut up and survive!" the arch mage charged up chain lightning and ran towards the Dark Wings.

Poe saw in horror as the arch mage was being shot, hack and slashed at.

The arch mage turned towards Poe and smiled, then he fell facefirst to the floor and died.

"NO!" shouted Poe, the arch mage had saved his life. "NO!"

The Mu Lung ship moved and Poe slumped to the wall of the ship.

"Why did you save me?......" he said quietly.

"Queen Cygnus, what should we do now?" asked a 15 year old boy with grey hair. He was wearing red Knight Armour, not unlike Oz's. He was clutching a Fire Wand.

"Stand guard at the port and try to stop every Dark Wings from entering Erev." said Cygnus. "And be careful."

"Yes, Queen Cygnus!" said the boy as he ran towards the port.

"Be careful, Leaf, may the spirits protect you...." said Cygnus.
